It’s funny how you can live in an area for a long time, and because of your day to day habits, you somehow miss seeing something or taking a moment to savor your surroundings and take in something new and different.  It’s somewhat like the wardrobe rut we all find ourselves in sometimes.  Relying on our old faithfuls, and daring to shake up our outfit routines.   Well, having probably passed this particular area a thousand times, I stumbled onto this train, and I thought it would be appropriate to share for my post today.  Today, I’m welcoming you aboard for the Lulu With Grace “White Haute Week.”  Each post this week will feature a fashionable white essential wardrobe piece that everyone should have in their closet to freshen and brighten up their outfits.  I’m kicking off “White Haute Week,” with the “Little White Dress.”  Most of us are familiar with the LBD “Little Black Dress,” well, move over little black dress, there’s a new dress in town, and here are a few reasons why the little white dress is an essential piece for your wardrobe.

The white dress is not necessarily meant to replace our beloved black dresses, but rather give us an option when we are looking to mix up our wardrobes, and change it up a little.  Much like the little black dress, a white dress can come in a variety of styles suitable for any personal taste, and if you ask me, I think the white dress is certainly worthy of sharing the spot light with the very familiar little black dress.

Why is the little white dress an essential piece for your wardrobe?

It comes in a variety of styles – You can find a white dress of any style to fit your taste, your body type and your budget.  The popularity of this now much in demand dress, has made it easily accessible, and designed to suit your needs.

It Is Totally Fresh – Talk about an instant wardrobe refresher, the little white dress can refresh your wardrobe instantly by taking you away from your black dress habit right into a lighter, airier look that is sure to turn heads.

It’s Easily Styled – Styling a white dress has to be one of the easiest styled pieces in any closet.  You can pop it with colored accessories, or keep it simple with neutral pieces, or simply mix them both, and look great.

It works for everything on your calendar – Whether you are going to a wedding, graduation, cocktail party, or a stroll on the beach a white dress will do the trick.  Because there are a variety of styles to choose from, you can find the perfect white dress for any occasion.

As you can see, I styled my favorite white dress with a pop of color and my favorite neutral print, the leopard print bag.  This white midi dress suits my style perfectly because it has that 50’s vibe with the classic A-line design.  It is truly a dress I will be seen in quite a bit in.  The coral shoes for me, allowed the dress to stand out, while also complimenting it.  The pointed toe pump is so in this season, I opted for a pump instead of a sandal to stay with the classic lines of the dress.  Lastly, my leopard print bag, helped to tie it all together.  I am so over the moon for clutch bags, because they are easy to carry, they work well with any outfit, and they help me minimize the amount of unnecessary items I carry in my bag.
