If, like me, you consider your style to be for the most part classic, chances are you have quite a few black pieces in your wardrobe. Styling black pieces during the spring and summer months to give them a light, airy and seasonal feel can sometimes be tricky, and one of the ways I like to add a cooler vibe to my black pieces is to pair them with lighter colors, and lightweight textures and designs.
To style these black linen culottes (similar here), which are somewhat of a staple in my wardrobe, I paired them with my lightweight, light blue V-Neck Top. I added my light blue Bowed Mule, and my Gucci Crossbody Bag as accessories. I love this color pairing because it seems to lighten up the look of the black culottes, while also maintaining the classic feel of the outfit. Lighten Up Your Black Pieces With Summer Accessories – A straw bag or hat, and a floral accessory of any kind will give your black pieces a cool summer vibe.
Go With Lightweight Black Pieces – Style black pieces that are lightweight and appropriate for the season. Linen, cotton, and other lighter fabrics are great for black summer styles.
