    Top:  Style Mafia Krava Top

Bottom:  Loft Frayed Flare Cropped Jeans

    Shoes:  Steve Madden Stecy

Bag:  Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Mini Affair

When it comes to on trend tops this season, it’s no secret that details like ruffles, pleats, fringe, and bell sleeves have taken over.  Lucky for me, these pretty feminine frills, are just right up my style alley.  Another top style that seems to be on trend as well, is the unstructured, boxy design, that can be both stylish and flattering for just about every body type.  The top I’m wearing in this post combines both detailed (ruffled) sleeves, and a boxy fit, making it super stylish to me.

L1002292-1L1002296L1002294L1002283L1002291L1002299For this look, I combined my Style Mafia Krava top, with my Loft Frayed Flare Cropped Jeans.  I added my Steve Madden Stecy sandal, and my Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Mini Affair bag as accessories.  This look was perfect for dinner with friends, because this top is one that can be dressed up or down, and can work for any event or occasion, and the cropped flare jeans with a frayed hem, gives this look a little on trend edge.  This top has definitely become one of my favorite detailed pieces in my wardrobe, because I can wear it with so many things, and because it’s a classic piece with a little flare that I think is timeless.  The boxy style of this top is an added bonus, not only because it can be figure flattering, but also because it offers a wide range of styling options.  In today’s “Style Guide,” I’m sharing a few ways to style a boxy top.

Style Guide:  How To Style A Boxy Top

Pair It With A Skinny Jean – If you’re uncomfortable wearing skinny jeans because of the fit, adding a box top can balance out the outfit and eliminate a too fitted overall look.

Pair It With A Pencil Skirt – Pairing a boxy top with a pencil skirt is a perfect desk to dinner look, and will give a basic pencil skirt some style power.

Pair It With An A-Line Skirt – Pairing a boxy top with an a-line skirt will give your look a very chic and classic feel.

Pair A Boxy Top With A Wide Leg Pant Or Jean – Wearing this top style with a flare pant or jean will give your outfit a stylish retro (70’s) look and feel.

I hope these “Style Guide” tips have given you a few ideas on styling your boxy top.  You can shop the items in this post by clicking the links above in “Outfit Details”, or you can visit the Shop Fashion Page here.  Also, you can shop Lulu With Grace partner sales and promotions here.  New partner sales and promotions have recently been added.
