Bottom:  Ann Taylor Linen Button Skirt

Bag:  Banana Republic Bucket Bag (Old); Similar here; Also, Love This One here

Normally when I shop for skirts or dresses, I tend to lean toward more a-line, fuller styles, but I bought this skirt because I loved the color, and because the length was perfect for my taste.  Although, I don’t own many pencil skirts, I’m loving this one, because I think the styling options are unlimited, and because it’s a classic piece that I will wear for years to come.

L1002385sexy evening dressesL1002389L1002394L1002388For this quick breakfast meeting look, I paired this Ann Taylor Linen Button Skirt, with my Forever 21 Striped High-Neck Top.  I added my Vince Camuto Jevan Mule, and my Banana Republic Bucket Bag.  This skirt was great for a brief informal meeting, but can also work perfectly for an office look and beyond.  The color can be paired with everything from off white to blue, and black, and the lined linen fabric can take you through summer and right into early fall.  If you own a pencil skirt, or if you’re considering adding this skirt type to your wardrobe, in today’s “Style Guide,” I’m sharing a few ways to style a pencil skirt.

Style Guide:  How To Style A Pencil Skirt

For An Office Work Look – Add a blazer, a tie neck blouse and a pump.

For An After Work Look – Add an embellished top or sweater and a strappy shoe or sandal.

For A Weekend Look – Add a striped tee or a tucked in flannel shirt or white blouse, with a wedge or flat.

For A Date Night Look – Add an off the shoulder sweater with a strappy sandal or a metallic shoe.

I hope these tips will help you in styling and wearing your pencil skirt.  You can shop the items in this post by clicking the links above in “Outfit Details”, or you can visit the Shop Fashion Page here.  Also, you can shop Lulu With Grace partner sales and promotions here.  New partner sales and promotions have recently been added.
