Well, this week should have been entitled “All About The Midi,” since both of my fashion posts this week featured a midi skirt. I guess it’s just a testament to how much I love the midi. Monday’s midi seen here, was a more played down look at the midi skirt for somewhat of a causal day, and today I’m sharing my evening event midi that is styled a little more dressed for an event.
I paired this H&M midi/calf length skirt with the BR sheer lace organza tank top and black ankle strap pumps for a look that to me worked for an evening event. The skirt’s fabric has a slight sheen, and so does the lace top, and they complimented each other nicely without being over done. The pointy toe ankle strap heels and leopard print bag were accessories that added a little spice to the outfit, while also grounding the different textures.
The very lady-like look of the midi skirt continues to be on trend because it is classic and oh so stylish. The length of the midi skirt can range from just below the knee to just above the ankle, and styling it with pieces that compliment the timeless nature of the look can be simple by keeping a few styling tips in mind.
