Since I’ve been blogging, its been very interesting to watch my style evolve.  Through this evolution, I’ve come to realize that my style definitely leans more towards being mostly classic in a modern and feminine way, and because of this I’m beginning to really evaluate my closet, and add pieces to my wardrobe that I feel truly match my sense of style.  Although, I will often play around with various fashion periods, like in today’s post, a slight nod to the 70’s, an expression of my classic, modern and feminine style will always be found in the foundation of the look.  In today’s post, I’m EXPRESS-ing Myself” in two ways, by sharing this look mostly from Express, and incorporating an expression of various aspects of my style in this 70’s inspired look.

Although today’s outfit has a 70’s vibe, my overall style is definitely reflected in a couple of ways.  The Express long sleeve crochet inset blouse definitely represents the feminine side of my style.  This blouse is a perfect piece to add to your fall wardrobe, as it works well under a blazer, and the neutral, cream/ivory color can be worn with any bottom.  The Express mid rise sailor flare pants  are a retro addition to this look, and reflect the classic part of my style.  These wide-legged pants are super flattering on almost any body type, and they are easy to style, and will make any look stylish.  The Steve Madden fringely shoe, and the Floto saddle bag are both must have items for fall, and for me, they complimented the overall feel of the outfit.

If your style is similar to mine, classic in a modern and feminine way, and you want to incorporate these pieces into your wardrobe, in today’s “Style Guide”, I’m sharing a few more ways you can style these items while still maintaining your overall style.

Style Guide:  More Ways To Style These Pieces

The Crochet Inset Blouse:  Pair this blouse with an a-line skirt, flared jeans, or a suede bottom.

The Flare Pant:  Wear the flare pants with a tie neck blouse, collared shirts, or a tweed blazer for a classic look.

The Fringely Shoe:  Pair this shoe with any pant or skirt to add some drama and interest to your outfit.  Fringe accessories like a shoe or a bag are perfect additions to any look.

The Saddle Bag:  The saddle bag is the “It Bag” of the season, and can be worn with anything, from dresses, skirts, to jeans.  This bag boasts a somewhat classic look, so you will always feel at home with this bag.

I hope my “Style Guide” tips will help you incorporate any of these pieces into your style with ease.
