I’m sure by now you’ve caught on to the overall theme of my posts this week.  They’re all expressing my love for fall florals.  I truly love flowers of any kind, in fact, I try to pick up fresh flowers for my home at least once or twice a week, and as you can see, I often try to incorporate them into my style whenever I can.  In today’s post, I’m sharing this floral midi dress that I recently wore to a luncheon.

Most women can certainly see themselves wearing floral dresses in the spring and summer, but are often not sure about how to pull them off during fall and winter months.  Because I love floral fashion year round, it was fairly easy for me to choose this Adrianna Papell ‘Mikado’ Sleeveless Fit & Flare floral midi dress to wear to a recent lunch event.  I paired the dress with my black Nine West Jackpot Pointy Toe Pumps, and added my Rebekka Minkoff Mini Quilted Affair bag.  Since floral prints are so on trend this fall and winter, and if you are feeling a little shy about flaunting your florals this season, in today’s “Style Guide”, I’m sharing a few ways to comfortably incorporate florals into your fall and winter looks.

Style Guide:  How To Incorporate Florals Into Your Fall And Winter Looks

Tone Down Your Florals With A Dark Blazer –  Adding a dark colored blazer or jacket to your floral look will give your floral outfit a toned down foundation, while also allowing your florals to be on display.

Mix Textures – Mixing different textures like a wool cardigan or jacket will give your floral outfit a more season appropriate look.

Add Darker Accessories – Pairing your floral look with a dark pair of pumps, bag, or scarf is also a great way to give your floral outfit a warmer feel.

Select Fall Appropriate Colors – Pick fall floral colors, or pastel colors grounded in a darker background to limit any spring or summer floral feel.

I hope these “Style Guide” tips will help you feel fabulous in your floral looks this fall.

This floral dress is perfect for fall especially with the cape. The colors are soft but not summery, and I love it with the black bag and shoes. Great style, post and tips!! Love the blog of Lulu With Grace!!
