September and October can be very fickle months when it comes to weather, and even though fall has officially arrived, temperatures can vary from day to day, and this can sometimes cause a few what-to-wear problems.  As much as we all want to dress for the season, temperatures don’t always cooperate, and we’re left wondering how to style outfits that fit the season.

We all know that there are certain colors and clothing styles that simply scream fall, but when the weather is not right for your fall pieces, adding some fall color to your look like orange, shades of wine, green, gold, and tans will all help to warm up your outfit, without having to style heavier fall clothing.  If the temperatures where you are haven’t quite reached sweater weather, but you still want to have a little fall feeling in your looks, in today’s “Style Guide,” I’m sharing a few quick ways to do it.

Style Guide:  Tips For Injecting Fall Feels Into Your Looks

Add Fall Colors To Your Look – Including some fall color (orange, shades of wine, green and gold, etc.) to your outfit will give your look a seasonal feel.

Pair Colors Of The Season In One Look – Style an outfit with a combination of fall colors.  If you’re not one for a lot of color, try using a neutral color like tan or black as your base, and pair pops of fall colors in your accessories.

Add Fall Accessories – Try adding a lightweight scarf, an ankle bootie, or a plaid shoe for a touch of fall.

Include Some Texture – Adding a little texture to your look can give it a feeling of fall.  A lightweight tweed jacket or blazer, or a tweed shoe or bag is a perfect way to inject a bit of the season into your outfit.
