As someone who loves classic pieces like the striped shirt I’m wearing in today’s post, it’s always fun to explore different ways to style them for a different look.  A classic button front shirt can seem simple, but there are a few chic and unique ways you can style this piece, and give it a super stylish look.

When you have basic pieces that you want to elevate, styling is always key.  There are many ways you can style pieces to make them look different, or give them a more stylish feel, and in today’s “Style Guide,” I’m sharing three chic ways to style a classic shirt.

Style Guide:  3 Chic Ways To Style A Classic Shirt

Adjust The Sleeves – By rolling the sleeves and/or pushing them up, you give a basic classic shirt some effortless chic style.

Go Oversized or Purchase One Size Up – By purchasing an oversized striped shirt like the one here, or going one size up, you give yourself enough fabric to create an off shoulder look.  Simply button the shirt up to the middle or center button, an allow one side of the shirt to drape off one or both shoulders.

Tie The Front Of The Shirt – You can style a basic shirt as a tie front shirt, by leaving a few of the bottom buttons unbuttoned, and tying the shirt at the waist.

If you’re looking for ways to add more style to classic or basic pieces like a striped shirt, I hope you found this post was helpful.  For today’s look, I’m paired my Stripe Shirt, (Limited Sizes Left); Also love the very similar ones here, here, here and here,  with my Paperbag Waist Pants (Old); Very similar here, here, here and here.  I added my White Pointed Toe Mules (Old); Similar here, here and here my Crossbody Bag and my White Cat Eye Sunglasses; Also love these here, here and here as accessories.
