When I wear the color white, it always feels like a fresh look with endless possibilities, and although, I generally keep it minimal and simple, the color of the clothing alone evokes a sense of creativity, neutrality and independence.  It’s interesting to me how our fashion choices can often reflect or affect our mindset, and on days like today, when I am excited and eager to turn over a new leaf with my blog, and begin including more thought provoking content, the freshness of the color white, and the natural feel of bamboo in this look definitely feels appropriate.

Let’s face it, at some point in our lives, we all have those times when we want to freshen up, change up, enhance or totally revamp some things in our lives.  Whether it’s our home, career, style, or lifestyle, sometimes, it just feels like a change is in order.  To me, much like the white dress I’m wearing today, there’s nothing like starting with a clean slate or a blank canvass, and kicking off new beginnings.  For me, whenever I make changes, or start something new, whether it’s big or small, I always try to go through the same process in my mind, and today, since I’m talking fresh starts and endless possibilities, I thought I would share my thought process with you below.

    My Fresh Start Steps:

Shake Off Fear – We’ve all heard the saying “Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained,” so whenever I start to feel a little fearful or uneasy about making changes, I shake off the fear, and simply step out on faith.

Do The Work – Before I make any changes in any aspect of my life, I always research whatever it is I am trying to do.  I also try to take some time to do a little self introspection to make sure I’m ready for any type of change.

Be Confident – Having confidence in your thoughts or plans is important, because it will always give you the strength you need to get rid of self doubt and plow right through any obstacles.

Embrace The Journey – Even though change can sometimes come with a few challenges, I always try to enjoy the journey.  Any change of any kind in life is part of our journey, so even if you face a few bumps along the way, just know that it is simply part of the process.

If you’re thinking about making some changes, I hope you found my fresh start steps helpful.  If you have some fresh start steps that you use, and would like to share, please feel free to share them below in the comments section.  I would love to hear from you.  For today’s look, I paired my white Wrap Cotton Dress, with my Espadrille Wedge Sandals and my Bamboo Bag.  You can shop the items in this post, by clicking the links above in “Outfit Details,” by clicking the photos below in “Shop This Post”, or you can visit the Shop Style Page here.

This is such great advice Kristi! I need to bookmark or screenshot this post. It’s so funny how someone else can tell you exactly what you need to hear without even knowing it! On another note I love your style and this dress looks so elegant on you!
