It’s that time of year when it seems we all need to have a special occasion dress on hand.  From wedding season (typically April – October), and summer events, dinners, receptions, and slightly more formal gatherings than we usually attend happening, having a special dress readily available can make attending these types of events a little easier.  When adding a special occasion dress to my wardrobe, I personally like to select dresses that can be worn to multiple types of events, and that will stand the test of time, and never go out of style.

I recently wore this ASOS Lace Midi Dress to a cocktail reception, and it’s now on sale, so of course I wanted to share it with you.  For the event, I paired the dress with my J. Crew Gold Ankle Strap Sandal, and added my black envelope chain strap bag.  I love this dress because the midi length is appropriate for any occasion, and the classic lace detail will always be in style.  I also love that this dress is very versatile, and can be worn to a variety of events.  It can be worn to everything from weddings, and cocktail receptions to semi-formal dinners and events.  So, if you have an event of this type coming up in the future, a lace midi dress would be a great option.
