As much as I love leather clothing, for me, I enjoy wearing leather most in small doses, or I like to pair it with something lighter, like this airy lace top, creating a nice pairing of leather and lace. Combining leather and lace, to me, not only makes an outfit easy to transition from day to evening, it also allows you to showcase an edgy side with a balance of softness. I also love the contrast in colors of black and beige/taupe. These two colors compliment each other nicely, by giving each tone a pop of it’s own.
This BR blazer is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces (I like it with jeans also)…. It’s faux leather trim on the neckline and pocket edges makes it so versatile. It’s classic shape can easily be worn with a skirt or pants, and it’s light enough to add another outer layer if needed. I love the lace top… it’s so soft and airy, and can be worn with any bottom. Pairing the lace top with these faux leather pants, was a fun date night outfit for me. To me, the two textures work so well together because they lighten and brighten the pairing in texture and color.
Feel free to share how you like to pair your leather and/or lace. I would love to hear it!
Thanks for reading!
Love this combo. I found some faux leather (animal friendly) pants this year that had a lace inset on the sides of the leg, and every time I wear them I get so many compliments. Love your blog!
