During vacation, we all know, when it comes to what we eat, we splurge a little bit more than normal, and for me, as long as I stay active, a splurge day here and there is perfectly okay.  One of my favorite places to visit when I’m in Honolulu, is Leonard’s Bakery.  Leonard’s Bakery is a local bakery well known to tourists, and among many other delicious baked goods, the bakery is most famous for their amazing malasadas.  Malasadas are portugese doughnuts without a hole, that are fried to golden brown, and served hot to order at Leonard’s.

Visiting Leonard’s bakery is definitely an experience.  From the long lines outside the building, and the people you meet while standing in line, to the friendly staff who greets you inside, and IMG_7647the other tourists you chat with outside the bakery while you enjoy your piping hot malasadas.  For the day, I paired my Gap White Denim Jacket, with my Loft Blue & White Stripe Flare Dress.  I added my super comfortable white eyelet Rocket Dog Canna Espadrilles, and my very versatile Louis Vuitton Pochette with the Louis Vuitton Shoulder Strap WN, that allowed me to wear the bag crossbody when needed throughout the day.  Our stop at Leonard’s Bakery was a great way to start our day of taking in the island and a little holiday season shopping.

If you’ve visited Honolulu, I’m sure you’re very aware of Leonard’s Bakery, and if you have not visited the area, and do visit one day, I recommend that you definitely add Leonard’s Bakery to your list of places to visit.  Don’t let the line outside keep you from stopping in, I promise it will be well worth the wait.

Great blog post! I was on Oahu this summer, and was told I had to get the malasadas from Leonard’s….my husband and I went, and stood in line for a bit, but like you said, it was well worth it!!! We made it back there several times before we left, and I could have gone every day. Thanks so much for the memory!
