Because health and fitness has been such a big part of my life and lifestyle for many years, and because I believe embracing health and fitness is not about beauty, but about living a long and healthy lifestyle, most, if not all of my health and fitness posts will be lifestyle focused. At this time of year, most people are either successfully well into their health and fitness New Year’s resolutions and goals, starting to slightly go off track, or maybe in need of something to help them refocus, so, I thought it would be a good time to share something I’m using that has definitely helped to “shake up” my health and fitness regimen.
I have been an Independent Team Beachbody Coach for some time now, and I have tried and fallen in love with many of the health and fitness products the company offers. Today, I want to share a nutritional shake offered by Beachbody that my family and I love. The shake is called Shakeology. Shakeology is considered to be the most nutrient – dense, superfood – packed protein shake on the market, and to me, it not only tastes delicious, you feel great too.
Now, we all know there is no shortage of protein shakes on the market, that promise to help you lose weight. They have been around for decades, and you can find them everywhere. But, the difference with Shakeology is that it actually provides you with a daily dose of dense nutrition, instead of starving your body like many other shakes. So, instead of reaching your weight loss goals with unhealthy consequences, and a lowered metabolism, when you drink Shakeology everyday, you will also get healthier, by improving your digestion, building your immune system, and supporting your fat burning metabolism. 1. Pour your choice of low-fat milk or water into a blender. I personally prefer Silk vanilla almond milk light.
2. Pour in the shake mix.
3. Add ice. I use approximately 6 cubes to make the shake creamy.
4. Blend, pour and enjoy.
The shake comes in a variety of flavors (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and greenberry), and dairy-free vegan options are also available. The non-vegan vanilla and chocolate are my favorites.
