Well, we all know how hard it can be sometimes to just press pause in life, and unwind and relax.  With everyday life coming at us so fast, and with family, careers, and the daily demands of life in general all competing for our time, it can be difficult to figure out just where a little personal time can fit in.  Even though my blog initially started as a hobby, it has quickly become a business, and because I love what I do so much, I often have to force myself to take a break and unplug.

It’s been said that learning to truly unwind and unplug helps us become more balanced and productive leaving us fully refreshed and able to take on our busy lifestyles.  For me, when I do convince myself to take a break from my blog, I feel like it allows me to physically, mentally and emotionally recharge.  I seem to gain a better perspective on things, and my creativity seems to skyrocket.  If you sometimes find it hard to unplug, listed below are a few ways that I relax and unwind.

Take Time Out To Lunch With Friends – Connecting with others over a mid-day meal, is a great way to give the mind a break and simply chill out.

Workout – Fitness has always been very important to me, and I find working out at least five days a week, forces me to carve out time in my day specifically for my workout, and that seems to give me even more physical endurance on the days that I am super busy.

Me Time – Taking some me time doesn’t have to be anything extravagant like a full on spa day, but something as simple as a warm bath at then end of a long day, or tea time with a good book, is a great way to unwind.

Breathe – Although, I personally enjoy meditation, I understand it is just not for everyone.  So, if meditation is not your thing, simply taking time to slow down and take deep breaths is a great way to relax and rejuvenate your mind and body.

I hope you enjoyed reading about the ways that I relax and unwind, and I hope they have given you a few ideas for doing the same.  If you have some specific ways that you unplug, and you would like to share them, please feel free to share them below in the comments section.  I would love to hear from you.  For today’s look, I paired my one shoulder top, with my frill detail midi skirt.  I added my ankle strap sandals and straw clutch as accessories.  You can shop the items in this post, by clicking the links above in “Outfit Details,” by clicking the photos below in “Shop This Post”, or you can visit the Shop Style Page here.

As always, thanks so much for reading!
