Although I’ve worn a lot of ruffles and embellishments on the blog lately, I also love a simple minimal look as well.  I guess you can say that my style can range from simple and understated to on trend with a little flare.  However, regardless of how I style a look, I  think it’s safe to say that in general, my style is for the most part always classic.  In today’s post, I’m sharing a little insight into minimal style, and also providing a few tips for styling a minimal look.

Minimal style is primarily rooted in clean lines and neutral pallets, and today’s modern minimalism incorporates  wonderful fabrics, great tailoring and interesting proportions.  The perfect way to describe this classic style is “Less is More.”  Simplicity is key, and because there are no embellishments and only minimal details, form, composition, and color are very important.  Some of the key components of minimalist style are precise tailoring, small details, and mostly monochrome colors, so if you find yourself loving minimal style or minimalist pieces, in today’s “Style Guide,” I’m sharing a few tips for achieving the minimalist look.

Style Guide:  Tips For Achieving A Minimal Look

Start With Basic Pieces – Pick simple tops and pants with clean lines.

Pick Pieces With Minimal Details – Select pieces with minimal details, like simple buttons and stitching.

Pick Neutral Colored Pieces – Choose gray, black, white, and beige items for the foundation of your looks.

Go With Minimal Accessories – Pick simple accessories with a touch of rose gold or silver to finish and further refine your look.

If you like minimal style, or if you’ve ever considered trying the minimal look, I hope this “Style Guide” has given you a few ideas for trying this style.  You can shop the items in this post by clicking the links above in “Outfit Details”, or you can visit the Shop Fashion Page here.  Also, you can shop Lulu With Grace partner sales and promotions here.

    As always, thanks for reading!
