I have been in Hawaii (Oahu) with my family for the past week, so I thought it would be fun to share a few of my vacation essentials.  With the first official day of summer approaching quickly (June 21st), and many people planning weekend getaways, and summer vacations, it can be challenging to know exactly what to pack to cover your getaway or vacation plans.  Now, I am certainly not the master packer, in fact there is a standing joke in my family that I try to take everything but the furniture, but I am definitely trying to get better at packing simple essentials, and transitional pieces, especially for vacation.  For my next few posts, I will share some of my vacation essentials, along with a few photos from my trip.  When we travel to Oahu,  we normally stay at a hotel in Waikiki that has become a family favorite, but this trip, we decided to try something different, and we stayed at the Westin Moana Surfrider Hotel, a beautiful hotel property that was the first hotel built in Waikiki.  I will definitely share more about this hotel in future posts, but today’s post features just one of the spectacular sites at the hotel, this gorgeous 75 foot tall Banyan tree that sits in the center of the hotel’s courtyard.

The hotel is filled with so much to see and do right on the property, that we spent this day just taking in the hotel, having lunch, and of course doing a little shopping.  The weather was a perfect seventy-nine degrees, so this romper and the super comfortable espadrille wedge were perfect for the day.  For me, a romper in the right style is a great vacation essential.  It can be worn for a casual outing, and easily transitions to a lunch or even resort attire dinner.  I love this tropical romper from The Limited.  It gives you an island vacation feel, and the fabric is so light and breezy.  What I love most about the romper, is the drawstring waist that somewhat allows you to tailor the length of the romper to one that is perfect for you and your style.  You can tie it higher for a shorter style, or simply drop the waist some for a longer length.  The Halogen espadrille wedge is also a great vacation essential, as it also transitions well for any time of day.  It is really comfortable, and I even traveled in them.  The low-mid heel wedge is great for any outfit style.  Lastly, the crocodile pineapple fold-over clutch is one of my pick ups in Hawaii.  I saw it, and just had to have it because it was not only very appropriate for where I was, but I can see myself using this all summer with sundresses and even jeans.  You can carry it multiple ways, and for a clutch it actually holds quite a bit.

I am looking forward to sharing more of my vacation essentials, and photos from my trip with you in up coming posts.  You can shop the items in this post by clicking the links above in “The Look” and “The Look For Less,” or you can visit the Shop Fashion Page here.  Also, you can shop Lulu With Grace partner sales and promotions here.  New partner sales and promotions have recently been added.

As they say in Hawaii “Mahalo” (Thanks) for reading!
