For my last vacation essentials post from my trip to Hawaii, I’m sharing an essential that to me, can be both fashionable and functional, the sun hat. When going on a beach vacation, or traveling to a place where you plan to spend some time in the sun, it’s a good idea to have some protection from the sun with a sun hat, and with so many sun hat designs and choices out there, it’s easy to look good doing it. I previously shared a post from this day at the beach here, featuring the white linen dress, but as the day progressed, and we walked the 
beach, a sun hat was definitely needed.
As I mentioned in my previous post here, we started this day walking the beach. While walking we got to check out other resorts along the beach, look into beach activities for other days of our trip, and as you will see in the photos, I even got a photo visitor from a local gentleman searching for buried treasures.
I chose this Banana Republic Open-Stripe Sun Hat to wear this day, because the open-stripe gave it a lightweight and airy appearance, while still providing protection from the sun. Also, I love the wide, floppy brim on this hat, because it can add some fun and glamour to any vacation and beach wear. The color is perfect for wearing with anything in your wardrobe, and I used this hat quite a bit while on Oahu.
