As spring approaches, I’m loving wearing colors that evoke the fresh feeling  of the spring season, and one of my favorites is the color pink.  Spring ’17 runways showed this very feminine color worn in a variety of eye catching shades and color pairings, and today, I’m sharing a couple of my pink pieces that I think are perfect for spring.

For this look filled with pieces with details, I paired my Bow Sleeve Blazer with my Ruffle Tee, and my black Super Flare Jeans.  I added my snake print pumps and my blush crossbody bag as accessories.  I love pairing pink with black, because it combines softness with a little boldness for a good balance.  Although, I like feminine pieces, as you can tell by the bow details on the sleeves of the blazer and the ruffle details on the top, I enjoy styling feminine pieces with slightly edgy pieces to enhance the style of the look, and make it a little unpredictable.

Today, I’m starting something new that I will be including in my future posts, and it is “The Things I Love” addition to my posts.  In my post “Style Guides,” I am going to be including a quick list of the things I love about the pieces I’m wearing or similar pieces I’m sharing.  I think this will help to give you a little more insight into the items in the post, and may also help you better determine if they are pieces that might work in your wardrobe.  So for today’s “Style Guide,” here are the things I love about the items featured in this post.

Style Guide:  Things I Love About These Pieces

Blazer – I love that this blazer is a woven fabric that can almost be worn year round, and it’s also a fabric that can be dressed up or down, by pairing it with jeans, dress pants, a skirt or a dress.  The bow sleeves are a bonus, and the added detail really makes it stand out.

Top – I love that this tee can be worn under a blazer, jacket or sweater, or as a stand alone top when temperatures permit.  I love the ruffle sleeves and detail on the front of the top, because it just adds to the overall style of the top and any look that you wear it with.  The top can also be tucked in our worn out, so you have some versatility when styling it.

Shoes – There is nothing more classic than a pointed toe pump.  I love that they can be worn with everything from casual to more dressed looks.  The snake print or any print simply elevates the shoe and any look you wear them with.  It is the perfect staple shoe to have in your closet.

Bag – This bag is truly one of my favorites, because it is the perfect sized crossbody bag that can be carried for any occassion.  I love the color, and I love that you can carry it crossbody or with the short handle.  It is a great bag that can be worn for an evening out and it’s also perfect for a day out running errands worn crossbody.
