In another post this week, I mentioned a type of top style I’m loving this spring and summer, and today I’m sharing another style top that I really like, a ruffle sleeve top. Ruffles on tops, be it sleeves, collars, or on any area, are on trend right now, and to me these fluttery flounces add an air of feminine romance to your outfit.
I fell in love with this J. Crew Ruffle Sleeve Top because of the ruffle sleeves and my penchant for stripes. I paired the top with my Loft Bi-Stretch Kick Crop Pants, and added my Ann Taylor Elaina Lace Up Booties, and my Kate Spade Saturday Envelope Clutch. I also grabbed my linen blend wrap scarf to use as needed. Ruffle details swept the spring collection runways trimming hemlines, tiers, and sleeves with frills. Ruffles are the perfect way to add a little sweetness to any look. For a night out, slip on an off-the-shoulder ruffled dress or style a girly top with a pair of fresh white skinny jeans. If that is too sweet for your taste, you can modernize the flounce with menswear elements, like tailored trousers, or top with a sharp blazer. Ruffles are now considered the cherry-on-top of your spring wardrobe, so don’t be afraid to play with this pretty trend by adding a few ruffled pieces to your closet.
