Although I’ve visited Oahu many times, every time I’m there, I always enjoy getting out to do some sightseeing and of course a little shopping.  There is so much to see and do in Honolulu.  From enjoying the many beaches and their beautiful sunsets to shopping in the open air mall (Ala Moana Center), and taking the beautiful drive to the Northshore for some authentic fish tacos at one of the food trucks or visiting the Dole Plant for a Hawaiian pineapple experience.  For any day out and about around the island, my goal is to always be as cool and comfortable as possible.

Before heading out for the day, I snapped a few photos of my look, in the lovely, newly renovated lobby of the Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa.  For this casual sightseeing look, I paired my off the shoulder top, with this ruffle skirt.  I added my super comfortable slide sandals, and grabbed my straw hat and aviator sunglasses for some protection from the sun.  When packing for a vacation or getaway, I always try to plan what I’m going to be doing ahead of time, and create a packing and daily outfit list to make sure that I have everything I need for my planned activities.  With the summer vacation months quickly approaching, in today’s “Style & Travel Guide,” I’m sharing a few tips for preparing your packing and outfit list for summer travel.

Style & Travel Guide:  Preparing Your Packing And Outfit List For Summer Travel

Prepare Your List – Figure out your best way of creating and keeping lists, and create a list of your planned activities for your trip.

Plan Your Days – Once your have a general idea of your activities, as much as possible, plan a daily schedule of your activities.

Plan Your Outfits –  When you have an idea of your daily schedule, you can then start planning your outfits for each day and activity.  I like to lay out each outfit, and make sure that it is complete with accessories and everything I need.

Pack By Day –  Once everything is planned and laid out, I begin to pack by day, putting the outfits in my luggage in the order in which they will be worn.  This will help you avoid searching for items, and make unpacking and finding your outfits easier.

I hope today’s “Style & Travel Guide” has given you a few ideas for preparing your packing and outfit list for summer travel.  You can shop the items in this post, by clicking the links above in “Outfit Details,” by clicking the photos below in “Shop This Post”, or you can visit the Shop Fashion Page here.  Also, you can shop Lulu With Grace partner sales and promotions here.
