I’ve always liked tunic style tops, so when I saw this Topshop tunic online at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it was easy for me to add it to my shopping bag.  Tunic tops can be found in a variety of styles and designs, and they offer many styling possibilities, so adding a tunic top to your wardrobe can certainly expand your outfit options.

For this look, I paired this Topshop Stripe Split Hem Tunic with my J. Crew Cropped Wide Leg Pants.  I accessorized with my Steve Madden Carrson Sandal, and my Michael Kors Satchel.  When planning to wear this tunic, I tried it on with so many different things in my closet, and it seemed to work with just about every bottom imaginable.  I tried it on with a white flare jean, to add some balance to the fitted style of the top, I tried it on with a white maxi skirt, and even a khaki  A-line midi skirt.  I’m so excited about the styling options with this top, and I will certainly wear it with everything from jeans and pants, to skirts and knee length shorts.  If you’re unsure about tunic style tops, in today’s “Style Guide,” I’m sharing a few reasons why a tunic top might be right for you.
