One of my favorite morning rituals is to have a cup of coffee to get my day started.  Whether at home in my PJ’s, on the run, or at a coffee shop, my first cup of coffee truly sets the tone of my day.  Recently, while out scouting photo shoot locations, I found a new little coffee shop right in my neighborhood.  Although I am definitely a big fan of Starbucks, I absolutely love quaint little coffee shops that just make you feel right at home, and that’s exactly what I found at the Village Cafe & Bakery in the Colleyville Town Center.  From amazing pastries and baked goods to delicious coffee and other warm drinks, and a cozy, comfortable, homey feeling, Village Cafe & Bakery has it all.  It was the perfect place to grab my morning coffee, and sit down to organize my plans and to-do list for the day.

For this day out and about running errands and photo shoot scouting, comfort was definitely key.  With this fickle Texas weather during this time of year, layers are always a good idea, so I paired my Marl Pea Coat, with my white ribbed trim sweater, and my black cropped raw hem jeans.  I added my studded booties, and my quilted crossbody bag.  This look was perfect for the day I had planned, because as the temperature rose a little throughout the day, I was still able to remove the coat and stay warm enough with the sweater, which is a perfect transition piece.  Comfortable footwear is always a must for me when I’m on the run, but I also still like to look stylish and put together, so these studded booties were ideal.  They offered the perfect amount of comfort and style for the day I had lined up.  Even though spring has not sprung yet, as we all start planning to transition our wardrobes from winter to spring, ankle booties are one of those staples you can keep in your wardrobe line up through the transition.  Because ankle boots are great winter to spring transition shoes, in today’s “Style Guide,” I’m sharing a few ways you can wear them into spring.

Style Guide:  How To Wear Your Ankle Boots In Spring

Wear Them With A Spring Dress – Wearing them with a spring dress gives the boots a fresh look.

Pair Them With Cropped Jeans Or Pants – Not quite ready for sandals, pair your cropped jeans or pants with ankle boots.

Wear Them With A Maxi Dress –  Give your maxi dress a chic feel by styling it with ankle boots.

Pair Them With A Midi Or Maxi Skirt – Add some style to your midi or maxi skirt with cool pair of ankle boots.

I hope today’s “Style Guide” has given you a few ideas for styling your ankle boots this spring.  You can shop the items in this post by clicking the links above in “Outfit Details”, or you can visit the Shop Fashion Page here.  Also, you can shop Lulu With Grace partner sales and promotions here
