Every fashion season, there are of course new styles and trends, and even new terms used to describe popular colors of that season.  To me, Oxblood is one of those colors being used in fashion terms to describe and redefine colors ranging from red to reddish purple to nearly black with red, brown, and blue undertones.  I personally love this rich hue, because to me, it is understated and much more versatile than traditional red.  In today’s post, I’m wearing these oxblood faux leather cigarette pants, and sharing a few ways to wear this chic shade.

For this look, I paired my Ann Taylor Cream Turtleneck with my Zara Off White Coat, and my oxblood ASOS Leather Look Cigarette Pants.  I accessorized with my Guess Snake Print Pumps and my Gucci Mini Dionysus GG Supreme bag.  I truly love both the color and fit of these oxblood pants, and they are super easy to dress up or down.  You can wear them for an evening out with an off the shoulder top and strappy sandals, or go casual with a chunky sweater, bomber jacket and sneakers or booties.  If you currently have some oxblood pieces in your closet, or looking to add this color to your wardrobe, in today’s “Style Guide”, I’m sharing a few ways to wear it.

Style Guide:  Ways To Wear Oxblood

Go Sleek And Simple – Pair oxblood with neutrals like black, camel and off white to make sure you are wearing the color and it is not wearing you.

Give It A Little Edge – Wear an oxblood jacket or bomber with a black skinny jean and boots for a chic but edgy feel.

Add It As An Accessory – Nothing will complete an outfit like an oxblood bag or shoe for an on trend stand-out look.

Wear It As One Piece – An oxblood dress or jumpsuit can be the perfect addition to a fall/winter wardrobe giving you a great alternative to black.

I hope today’s “Style Guide” has given you a few ideas for wearing this popular hue.  You can shop the items in this post by clicking the links above in “Outfit Details”, or you can visit the Shop Fashion Page here.  Also, you can shop Lulu With Grace partner sales and promotions here.
