One of my favorite colors this spring is cobalt blue.  I love this color because it’s a vibrant, cool shade that can be worn on any skin tone. This eye-catching, electric color can make a statement in any outfit, without completely taking over the look, and it’s easy to style, because it can be paired with many other colors.  I wore the color as accessories (shoes, and jewelry), paired with white, but I will definitely be wearing this color as a clothing item this spring.  If you find yourself a fan of this shade, or if you want to try this powerful color, here are a few quick tips to help you do it in style.

When wearing this high voltage color, it’s best to steer clear of wearing it all over, as this can certainly take away from the power of the color in an outfit, and will probably qualify as too much of a good thing. Instead try incorporating the color into outfits as an accessory or a clothing piece that can be easily paired with other classic or on trend items.

Style Tips For Wearing Cobalt Blue:

Pair Cobalt Blue With White – For a simple and more classic look, pair cobalt blue with white. This basic pairing is perfect for allowing the blue to make a bold statement on its own.

Combine Cobalt Blue With Black – Pairing cobalt blue with black works perfectly for a more dressed occasion. To lighten this color pairing and soften the look, add a pearl necklace or pearl earrings.

Put Cobalt Blue With Yellow – This colorful pairing is perfect for a spring time casual look. To break up the colors add in another blue hue, like a jean jacket.

Pair Cobalt Blue With Pastels – To soften this fiery shade, pairing it with a pastel color like a soft pink, or a neutral like beige or tan, will not only allow this powerful color to pop, but it will also give the outfit a casual, but elegant feel.

I wore cobalt blue as accessories (shoes, earrings, and necklace) and paired it with the white bomber jacket, but I will definitely be wearing this color as a clothing item this spring.  Bomber jackets are so on trend this season, and they can be worn with jeans, trousers, and even a dress.  I love this white bomber jacket from Forever 21, because it is lightweight, and can be worn in many ways.  This jacket will definitely see a lot of action in my wardrobe.  I added in a mixed media tank and the very popular boyfriend jean for a casual look. The largest addition of cobalt blue in this look, is of course the shoes. I love these Ivanka Trump classic pointy toe pumps, because they can easily be worn with a casual or more dressed outfit.  They will definitely add flavor and style to any look.  My last addition is the white Michael Kors bag.  I believe everyone should have a white bag in their closet, because they easily add style to your outfit.  There are a variety of styles, designers, and brands, making a white bag easily accessible this time of year.
