The Trench Transition

We’re getting to that time of year when the weather is somewhat fickle, and some days you may need a heavy coat, and other days, a winter coat just might not be necessary.  A trench coat is the perfect outer garment to make the transition from winter to spring, and it’s also a very stylish piece to layer over warmer items for a classic pulled together look.

For this outfit, I wore my ASOS Duster Trench Coat over an all black ensemble for a clean and sleek look.  I paired my black Zara Turtleneck with my black Loft Essential Skinny Ankle Pants, and accessorized with my Ann Taylor Elaina Suede Lace-Up Booties, and my Ann Taylor Suede Bucket Bag.  I absolutely love the cool, fresh color of this trench coat, and to me the duster length definitely adds some extra style points.  Not only is this color great for a winter to spring transition, it’s also very versatile, and can be worn with other colors like off white or white, gray, navy blue and even khaki or camel.  The lightweight fabric of this trench makes it perfect for layering over heavier sweaters when needed without adding any bulkiness to your look, and it’s also great for those warmer spring days when there is just enough chill in the air for lighter outerwear.  If you’re looking for the perfect winter to spring transition coat, I suggest you definitely invest in a trench coat.
